Textiles refer to various fabrics, fabrics, and clothing made through textile processes. Textiles have a wide range of applications in daily life, including clothing, household items, industrial products, medical supplies, etc.

The production process of textiles usually includes the following steps:

1. Raw material preparation: The raw materials for textiles are usually cotton, wool, silk, synthetic fibers, etc. The raw materials can only be used for textile after pre-treatment such as cleaning, degumming, bleaching, etc.

2. Fiber processing: Processing raw materials into fibers that can be spun, such as processing cotton into cotton fibers, processing wool into yarn, etc.

3. Spinning: Processing fibers into yarn and producing various thicknesses and uses of yarn through different spinning techniques such as ring spinning, jet spinning, etc.

4. Weaving: Processing yarn into fabric and weaving it using different types of looms (such as shuttle looms, knitting machines, etc.) to form various patterns and textures of the fabric.

5. Sorting: Post finishing of woven fabrics, such as shaping, dyeing, printing, anti shrinkage, anti wrinkle, etc., to improve their appearance, feel, and functionality.

The selection and application of textiles depend on their material, characteristics, purpose, and design. For example, clothing textiles require good comfort and durability, while home textiles place more emphasis on aesthetics and comfort.
